Today, we want to take you behind the Speedy Towbars brand and shine a bit of a spotlight on our two co-owners, Jade Jaggle and Jordan Rand.
Speedy Towbars is a family business through and through – Jade and Jordan are brother and sister, and they bought the company off their Dad, Gary Rand. All three have been instrumental in taking Speedy from a startup towbar fitting service to the most trusted name in the industry in South East Queensland.
Jade and Jordan grew up around towbars and tools. They know this industry, can anticipate what clients expect and are always looking for ways to push forward and improve. Let’s look at why they’re such great fits for what they do here:
Jordan – Managing Director of TowRite
Jordan has been part of the towbar industry for as long as most can remember. Working side-by-side with his dad, Gary, he played a huge role in building Speedy Towbars from the ground up, long before it became the busy operation it is today. From learning the ropes in the workshop to making sure jobs got done right, Jordan was there through it all.
That commitment continues today as he runs TowRite Towbars, the manufacturing arm that Gary founded to supply Speedy with tough, reliable towbars. Jordan oversees everything from fabrication and technical specs to quality control, making sure every product meets the high standards Aussie drivers expect.
Now co-owner of Speedy alongside his sister Jade, Jordan remains the driving force behind the technical side of the business. His years of hands-on experience, problem-solving skills, and industry know-how ensure both Speedy and TowRite keep delivering the quality and service that locals trust.
Jade – Managing Director of Speedy Towbars
Jade has been a part of Speedy from the very beginning, helping out behind the counter, getting stuck into the workshop, and even joining the mobile installation teams on the road. It’s safe to say she knows towing inside and out, with hands-on experience across every part of the business.
Now as Managing Director of Speedy Towbars, Jade focuses on strong systems, excellent service, and backing her team. She sets high standards for herself and encourages the rest of the Speedy crew to meet them, creating a culture built on accountability, care and good old fashioned customer service.
Under her leadership, Speedy has continued to grow rapidly. Fast turnarounds and genuine customer service, the kind that makes people feel part of the Speedy family, have become hallmarks of the business. Jade ensures those values stay front and centre every day.
A Nod to the Founder – Gary Rand
When Gary Rand moved to Australia from South Africa with his young family, he wanted to use his experience in the automotive industry to build a business of his own in Brisbane.
And so Speedy Towbars was born.
Gary started it from scratch and soon built a reputation for consistent work people knew they could trust. Honest service, good communications and fair prices formed the foundation of Speedy Towbars.
As the demand for quality towbar fittings around SEQ grew, Gary, with the help of Jordan and Jade, positioned Speedy and TowRite to grow with it.
